We're back again (again)
Wed Sep 17, 2008 11:55 am
It took a little bit to get our domain renewed - as you may have noticed. We are now, however, back.

Nonregistered Submissions Closed
Sun Jun 01, 2008 11:40 pm
Due to recent spam, nonregistered submission of songs is closed. We apologize for the inconvenience, but I don't really have the time to be going through and deleting the spam posted by a person with nothing better to do (or by a bot made by a person who REALLY needs a better hobby).

April Fools
Tue Apr 01, 2008 7:32 pm
In Soviet Russia, April Fools YOU!
Yes, this is an April Fools joke, YYG wouldn't sure us, mainly because that text actually got removed a year ago. Sadly, the 64digits merging part is correct
Due to my use of the term "Game Maker" in file compatibility statements (e.g. this file will work with Game Maker 7.0 using sxms), YoYoGames has issued a lawsuit against me - oddly enough, shortly after I resigned from 64digits to protest the merger. I have removed the offending text, but they are still pressing legal action.
I am not sure if I will be able to keep the site up, as even if I win this suit, it's not worth the hassle.

Registration Works Again

I've fixed the registration (which I suppose must have been broken for some time now), after a report by ESA. So you can all join and post songs now.

64Digits.com Music Contest
Wed Feb 27, 2008 11:22 pm
64Digits.com Music Contest
as written in Polystyrene Man's blog on 64digits.com
(Not actually endorsed by 64Digits.com or by themusiclib.com)
Theme
The theme for the contest is love! Write a song (instrumental or non-instrumental) that conveys the feeling of love. This could deal with the pain of a breakup, the affection felt towards a grandparent, a first kiss, or any variety of things. As long as it has to do with love, you're good. Those whose song best matches the theme will score better.
Restrictions
Simply put, there are none. The music can be any length or any genre. It can feature vocals or be totally instrumental. Take advantage of this freedom and make something that sticks out!
Rules
1. The music must be your own work. By submitting, you are asserting that it is in fact your own.
2. Only one submission will be accepted per person.
3. Song must be submitted by the deadline. You can submit incomplete material.
Contest period
Officially, the contest begins on March 1* and will end at 11:59PM on Monday, March 31 (Eastern Standard Time). Be wary of time differences.
Submitting a song
On or before March 31, you will need to PM or Email Polystyrene Man an mp3 of your song. He won't be a stickler for format, but please do make it mp3. Also, please include the song title and, optionally, any notes on how you incorporated the theme.
If 64Digits is down and you cannot reach him through PM, his email address is jayvache@yahoo.com. Write that down now. Site downtime will not be an excuse for not getting your submission in on time.
Prizes
-A signed autograph of yours truly
-A bundle of freeware VSTs that I've acquired over the past couple months. This potentially saves you hours of Google searching!
-A banner (?)
-Something secret
Have fun!
*But no one's going to know if you started right now : )
